Lip and Dermal Fillers

As we age our skin loses collagen and fatty tissue, and it loses its elasticity and firmness. As such we lose volume in the face and tissue support. This adds to the formation of lines and wrinkles, which contribute to us looking older.

Fillers can help counteract this by filling in lose lines and wrinkles and also add volume, in areas such as the cheeks, lips and temples. The fillers that are used at AITF are made from Hyaluronic Acid (HA). This is found naturally in the body, and it attracts water, which then hydrates the skin. As we age our levels of HA will fall. Using dermal fillers softly reinvigorate your facial features.

Fillers are injected under the skins surface and the results are seen immediately. As there are different types of dermal and lip fillers, we will carry out an in depth consultation to decide which product is best for your needs and the outcome you are looking to achieve.

The effects are not permanent. The treatment can last 6-12 months, however this is dependent on the individual, the amount of filler used and the area that is treated.

As with any treatment, there are potential side effects. The most common are bruising, swelling and redness at the injection site. These will disappear shortly after the injection, and usually within a few days. Prior to any treatment, all side effects will be discussed in detail.
